The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Utah Jazz played last night in a thriller. LeBron James has torched the Jazz in his career averaging 32 Points 10 Rebounds and 9 Assists.
Not until a player who has not even signed a 10 day contract yet showed up from the D League. Sundiata Gaines was forced to enter the game with only one practice under his belt when Deron Williams received his 5th foul of the game early in the 4th quarter. Williams was also nursing a knee injury so he would not be able to return. Gaines set a spark early in the quarter as when he was in the Jazz went on a 22-7 run. He needed a break, but the Georgia Stud had to come back. He came back with 5.8 seconds left and made a bang. The play was not designed for him but left open by Anthony Parker, he had a chance. Down 96-94, the Jazz went for a 3, and Gaines was the one to hit as time expired. What'a time for a rookie who has yet to have a 10 day contract.
You would think Sundiata "Gaines" a roster spot after last night right?
Other News Around the League-
-Antwan Jamison to Cleveland? Would that really make this team the team to beat in the East?
-What do you think of the Gilbert Arenas punishment. Is his crime really worth tearing up a 90 million dollar contract? I think a suspension for the rest of the season without pay is enough but the Wizards may not agree. Lets hear your opinion!
-Where is Wade going after the season. Rumors are he just bought his own house in Chicago. Is that a sign?
-The Chicago Bulls beat the Celtics at Boston last night 96-83. This was not a very close game. The Bulls basically had the lead the whole time and Boston came back slowly but the Bulls would not let it get too close.
